Plot

Like many Thomas Ince productions of the era, The Winged Idol was enhanced by the gloriously overwritten subtitles of C. Gardner Sullivan. House Peters Sr. plays a dissolute millionaire whose fondness for demon rum costs him the love of his sweet wife Clara Williams. Seeking feminine companionship elsewhere, Peters becomes the live-in lover of professional fortune-teller Katherine Kaelred. As luck and the plot would have it, Peters' wife Williams comes to Kaelred to ask her advice on how to win back her husband. Cannily, the seeress tells Williams to forget all about Peters, and to let him chart his own course in life.
