Album Review: Wisconsinsane

Review

This is Sig's tenth disc of "ultra-modern symphonic pop..." with the help of ex-Violent Femmes Brian Ritchie and Victor DeLorenzo, or the tenor sax of ex-Stooge Steve MacKay. While Snopek does have a way with a melody...and certainly knows his way around a piano...it doesn't amount to much. At times it sounds like low-grade Fleetwood Mac; other times, he loads his smarmy ditties with cheap potshots ("Thank God This Isn't Cleveland," now that's original)... ~ John Dougan, Option r2_88, All Music Guide
