"Wish You Would" is the first promo single off Ludacris' album, Theater of the Mind. The song features T.I.. The song was released on iTunes on September 2, 2008.[1] The single has reached #43 on the iTunes Top 100 chart so far.

The song was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group.[2]

American hip hop production duo Play-N-Skillz composed a remix, giving it one of their own productions.

Background

MTV interviewed Ludacris and T.I. after the song was leaked.

Ludacris said, "I felt like there was no bigger event in hip-hop at this moment than me and T.I. working together."[3]

T.I. said, "We had figure if it ain't no problem and we don't have no issues, no beef, then there's no reason we shouldn't be able to get together and make music."[3]

Artists from both Disturbing tha Peace and Grand Hustle were as surprised as anyone else.[3]

T.I. and Ludacris also collaborated on another song "On Top of the World", which is on T.I.'s sixth studio album, Paper Trail.
