Wisu (or Isu) is the name of the Upper Kama region (modern Perm Krai of Russia) in the works of medieval Arab travellers such as Ahmad ibn Fadlan and Al-Gharnati. They mention that the area paid tribute to Volga Bulgaria. In Russian chronicles the same region is known as Great Perm.
