The Wolf Prize in Arts is awarded once a year by the Wolf Foundation. It is one of the six Wolf Prizes established by the Foundation and awarded since 1978; the others are in Agriculture, Chemistry, Mathematics, Medicine and Physics. The Prize rotates annually between painting, music, architecture and sculpture.

- Abbado could not show up to the ceremony and therefore did not win the prize this year. The Wolf Foundation will decide whether or not to award the prize to him next year.
