Wolfenbüttler Marienklage, title given to a quasi-dramatic poem of 464 lines written in Middle Low German possibly in the 14th c. and discovered at Wolfenbüttel. It expresses Mary's lamentations at the foot of the Cross, and represents a phase of transition from narrative poem to passion play.
