Review

One of the finest assemblages of female Celtic singers from the original A Woman's Heart has found its equal on the sequel, A Woman's Heart 2. Back again are Mary Black, Dolores Keane, Sharon Shannon, Frances Black, Sinead Lohan, Mary Coughlin, Maura O'Connell, and Maighread Ni Dhomnaill, creating as diverse a sound of Celtic music ever recorded. Mary Black, with her sonorous and misty voice, may be considered a first among equals here. Other stellar performances by singer Sinead O'Connor, accordion player Sharon Shannon, and country/Celtic singer Mary Coughlin shine bright as well. ~ MusD, All Music Guide
