Review
Although the "Primitive" label may sound a bit condescending, the music saved herein is wondrous. What is truly commendable is Alan Lomax's efforts to preserve these musical traditions in their natural settings. These are not museum pieces, but living examples of a rich culture and heritage. ~ Tim Sheridan, All Music GuideTracks
