WorldTeach is a Non-governmental organization devoted to the need for educational assistance in developing nations. Founded in 1984 by a group of Harvard University students, WorldTeach places volunteer educators in communities throughout the world for 2-12 month terms. The organization is based at the Center for International Development at Harvard University. Approximately 200 volunteers are placed yearly, with about 2000 placed to date.
Most volunteers teach English language, and some teach Information technology,
For year-long programs, a bachelor's degree is mandatory. No foreign language or teaching experience is required.
