BACKGROUND:Wozza the walrus lives at Freezeey Peak where he goes about his daily business as any walrus would. And like other walruses, Wozza fears bears such as Banjo. After all, they have been known to eat walruses!
ROLE IN BANJO-KAZOOIE:
Despite being one of the harder levels in the game, Freezeezy Peak is inhabited by a ton of friendly characters: Boggy the Bear, Tiptup the turtle and now Wozza the walrus. To get close enough to make friends, you'll have to track down Mumbo Jumbo who will turn Banjo and Kazooie into less intimidating creatures. Now that they can get close enough to talk to Wozza, the walrus provides the duo with some hints on what to do and eventually forks over a special item!

THE STORY OF BANJO-KAZOOIE:
In a land of pure and unaltered cartoony bliss, an evil force is about to hit home in the shape of one overachieving witch named Gruntilda. Each time she finds a way to up her self-confidence and starts to feel beautiful, somebody seems to shoot her back down again causing a berserk rampage that often means the destruction of the world around her. If she can't be beautiful then nothing else can!
Having labored on a beautifying machine for many years now, all Gruntilda needs is one last component: a gorgeous woman with whom to trade appearances. After finding the most gorgeous creature she can find, Gruntilda will trade appearances with her, becoming the young and beautiful woman she has always wanted to be. Meanwhile, the unfortunate captured girl gets all of Gruntilda's looks!
Not any creature will do for Gruntilda, as she must find the most absolutely gorgeous girl in the land. She finally settles on a beautiful little bear named Tooty. Though she may be lovely, picking Tooty proves to be a BIG mistake. But who would have expected interference from a sleeping bear of a brother and his winged best friend?
To save Tooty, the witch-beatin', sister-savin' duo of Banjo and Kazooie set out across the land, now infested with evil creatures that Gruntilda has sent forth. To get to Gruntilda and put the hurt on her for the kidnapping, the team will travel through many wacky areas of its world. They'll interact with Bottles who will teach them new moves, Mumbo Jumbo the shaman who can transform them into other creatures, and even Gruntilda's good sister Brentilda. ~ Shawn Sackenheim, All Game Guide
