The Wyoming House of Representatives is the lower house of the Wyoming State Legislature. The House is comprised of 60 members elected from across the state, each representing about 9,000 constituents. Representatives serve 2-year terms without limits and are led by a Speaker of the House. Meeting at the state capitol in Cheyenne, representatives formulate new legislation and work closely with the Wyoming Senate to send bills to the Governor's desk to be signed into state law. House bills are reviewed and recommended by a variety of standing committees covering issues as broad as agriculture, wildlife resources, and military affairs. The House meets in general sessions during odd-numbered years.
