xanthogranuloma

A benign lesion occurring in infancy, usually solitary and composed of lipid-laden histiocytes with varying numbers of Tou-ton giant cells. In the oral cavity the lesion occurs most often on the tongue and regresses spontaneously.

An infiltration of retroperitoneal tissue by lipid macrophages, usually occurring in women.

A tumor having histological characteristics of both granuloma and xanthoma.
