The Xayar (Shayar) County (Chinese: 沙雅县, Pinyin: Shāyǎ Xiàn; Uyghur: شايار ناھىيىسى, Shayar Nahiyisi, Xayar Nah̡iyisi) [1] is a county in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and is under the administration of the Aksu Prefecture. It contains an area of 31,868 km2. According to the 2004 census it has a population of 210,000.
