Voice and data services company Xfone is Xpanding. The company has acquired Jackson, Mississippi-based competitive local-exchange carrier WS Telecom (now known as Xfone USA) and it also has established a majority stake in a subsidiary in Israel, Xfone 018 (formerly known as Xfone Communication Ltd.). Xfone earlier made a fast move on Swiftnet, buying the UK-based alternative telephone services provider in 2000. Now Xfone's subsidiary, Swiftnet has operated since 1990 reselling dial-around phone services, mobile phone access, and messaging services, including e-mail and fax services.
