Any yahoo can go to Europe, but only this one can set up a Web presence there. A wholly owned subsidiary of the US-based Internet portal giant Yahoo!, the business segment refers to three separate companies: Yahoo! France, Yahoo! Germany, and Yahoo! UK & Ireland, collectively called Yahoo! Europe. The country-specific sites offer Yahoo!'s Internet search engine and Web directory, online news and information, and communication and e-commerce services. Yahoo! Europe generates most of its revenue through online advertising but also charges subscriptions for premium services.
