Yahoo Japan Corporation operates Yahoo Japan, a Japanese online information portal that offers auctions, entertainment, news, and online shopping in addition to its search engine and Internet directory. The company also provides registered users with e-mail, personalized Web pages, and access to topical message boards. Revenue is generated from sales of advertising, as well as subscription charges for premium services. Tokyo-based technology investor SOFTBANK and US-based Internet portal Yahoo! jointly set up Yahoo Japan in 1996. SOFTBANK is Yahoo Japan's majority owner with a 40% stake. Yahoo! owns 33% of Yahoo Japan.

Yahoo! Japan Corporation (ヤフー株式会社, Yafū Kabushiki-gaisha^?) (TYO: 4689) is the Japan affiliate of American internet company Yahoo!. The head office is in the Midtown Tower of the Tokyo Midtown complex in Roppongi, Minato, Tokyo.^[1] The largest stockholder is SoftBank.

The naming rights of Fukuoka Dome were acquired in 2005, the dome subsequently being known as "Fukuoka Yahoo! Japan Dome".
