The Pump, intake grate and ride plate are all setback 50mm compared to the past Superjets. The pole on the 2008 SJ is also about 2 inches shorter than previous round nose superjets.

Current Superjet
The current Superjet (still in production by Yamaha Motor) has been visually the same since 1996. It's great adaptation to different modifications, and the availability of different aftermarket parts, makes it a well-liked choice for the recreational stand-up rider. The 2008 model was the first year of a new bottom deck, previously unchanged in the history of the superjet. This watercraft does not meet California or New York emissions standards, but who really cares about those locations as no-one rides a superjet in new york any way, and california frowns on surf riding. But the rest of the worlds surf spots are just pefect for the highly manouverable craft, favoured for its agility and perfect design for aerobatic manouvers.
