Biography

Mainly influenced by urban music and captivated with dancing over singing, Yanko assembled his first group, called MC Rap, at the age of 15 in his native Havana, Cuba. Soon, the Latin rap outfit had the opportunity to perform on the popular TV show La Movida, hosted by singer/actress Veronica Castro. However, Yanko finally decided to pursue a solo career, touring Mexico to promote his first records, including Mi Forma de Vivir produced by Isidro Infante. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
