Construction

Food & agriculture

Flax is harvested, possibly for food, by people living near lakes (Switzerland). Domestic flax was probably obtained several thousand years later from the wild flax that grows around the Mediterranean. See also 11,000 bce Food & agriculture; 7000 bce Food & agriculture.

Materials
