Yeonsu-gu (commonly abbreviated and hereafter referred to as simply "Yeonsu") is a ward in Incheon, South Korea . It is near in proximity to New Songdo City, which is a developing new city and part of the Incheon Free Economic Zone.

Yeonsu has a relatively high population of English teachers in the area, many of which can be elusive, but there are some local spots that they can be easily found. Many travel to Bupyeong, Bucheon, or Seoul for nightlife/social gatherings.[1]

As the rest of Incheon, it is considered part of the Seoul Metropolitan Area, and is connected by subway to Seoul. The nearest subway depots are Woninjae Station and Dongchun Station, on Incheon Subway Line 1(light blue, bottom left on a subway map). You can ride this line to Bupyeong Station and transfer to Seoul Subway Line 1, which will take you all the way into Downtown Seoul. You may also take bus "1300" from the bus stop (near the Yeonsu 7-11), which goes also stops at the notable locations of Bucheon, Hongik University (Hongdae), and Seoul Station.
