Ymddiddan Myrddin a Thaliesin

Celtic Mythology: Ymddiddan Myrddin a Thaliesin

Welsh title for the 11th-century poem, found in the Black Book of Carmarthen, usually known in English as The Colloquy of Merlin and Taliesin. Both the prophet Myrddin and the supernatural poet Taliesin share their arcane knowledge and also speak informatively of recent battles in Wales. See Ymddiddan Myrddin a Thaliesin, ed. A. O. H. Jarman (Cardiff, 1951).
