Yodi Karone

Karone, Yodi (pseud. of Alain Ndongo Ndiye) (b. 1954). Cameroonian writer, living in Paris. He is the author of two plays, but is best known for his novels, Le Bal des caïmans (1980), Nègre de paille (1982), Les Beaux Gosses (1988), and A la recherche de cannibale amour (1988). The first of these takes place in a concentration-camp world, the others represent a challenge to the neo-colonial world and a quest for freedom, with picaresque heroes roaming through Africa, Europe, and America.
