Yonghe City (Chinese: 永和市; pinyin: Yǒnghé Shì; Wade-Giles: yung-ho shih; POJ: Éng-hô-chhī) is a city in the southern part of Taipei County in northern Taiwan (ROC). The Xindian River forms a natural boundary between Yonghe and Taipei City to the north, although three bridges connect the two cities.
In 2009 the entire county is due to become a city in its own right: a special municipality called New Taipei. [1]
