Yoshinori Kitase (北瀬 佳範 Kitase Yoshinori, born September 23, 1966) is a Japanese game producer, scenario writer and former game director working for Square Enix (previously Square).

Biography
Kitase joined the company in 1991. His most notable roles as game director are Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, and Final Fantasy VIII; he later worked as producer for Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. Kitase is currently working on The 3rd Birthday as executive producer and Final Fantasy XIII as producer. Kitase is the head of Square Enix's Production Team 1.
