The largest company in Argentina answers to a Spanish parent: Integrated oil company YPF is a subsidiary of Repsol YPF (formerly Repsol), Spain's largest oil concern. YPF has proved reserves (primarily in Argentina) of about 680 million barrels of oil and 4 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. It produces, refines, and markets petroleum, natural gas, and petrochemicals. The company's three Argentine refineries have an annual capacity of about 116 million barrels, 51% of the country's total refining capacity. YPF distributes oil to its more than 1,730 service stations in Argentina. In addition, the company has exploration and production ventures in the US.
