2nd Army

The Yugoslav 2nd Army was headquartered in Podgorica and was responsible for the southern portion of the country under the command of Major General Milorad Obradović with Chief of Staff Brigader General Jagoš Stevanović. The 2nd Army maintained major bases at Podgorica, Danilovgrad, Nikšić, Užice, Čačak, Novi Pazar, Raška, and Kremna.

3rd Army

The Yugoslav 3rd Army was headquartered in Niš and was responsible for the central portion of the country under the command of General Nebojša Pavković. The 3rd Army maintained bases at Niš, Priština, Kruševac, Leskovac, Vranje, Pirot, Prokuplje, and Kuršumlija.
