Lists of miscellaneous information should be avoided. Please relocate any relevant information into appropriate sections or articles. (July 2007) |
- Yuri had at one point been contracted by Bang Zoom! Entertainment to provide the English voice for Renton Thurston in Eureka Seven. After recording 13 episodes, he was replaced by Johnny Yong Bosch because it was deemed that his voice was too low for the character and all of the lines were subsequently rerecorded.[2] Yuri is never actually heard in Eureka Seven as a result, despite it previously being listed on his resume ( there was however, one scene at the end of episode 7 in which Holland is watching Renton on a video and Yuri's original audio was not replaced.[citation needed] This may have happened because of the lack of visuals showing it was Renton on the video[original research?]).
- Yuri is a certified practitioner of Wu Shu kung fu.
- Yuri is fluent in speaking in four different languages, English, Japanese, French and German. He has joked that the only Spanish he knows is to "order Mexican food".
- Yuri was found at Anime Expo 2007 dressed up as Haseo from the .hack series.
- Yuri also attended the San Diego Comic-Con 2007. Yuri was doing autographs for Sasuke from Naruto.
- Yuri is often known to work with the voice production company Cup of Tea Productions for his voice acting in various video games.
- Yuri attended Animesupercon in South Florida 2008 as part of the Ben 10: Alien Force
- Has stated his favorite roles are Ben from Ben 10: Alien Force, Sasuke from Naruto and Superman from Legion of Super-Heroes.
- Yuri is a big fan of Doctor Who. He is such a big fan that he claims to have taken a cup Tom Baker drank out of at a long ago Doctor Who convention and has kept it to this day.[3]
- Because he had voiced the leading roles of Luke fon Fabre and Asch the Bloody for Tales of the Abyss, he could not be considered for voicing the main character of Tales of Vesperia, coincidently named Yuri Lowell.[4]
- Yuri shares three voice roles with Japanese seiyuu Takahiro Sakurai, namely Yuuri Shibuya from Kyo Kara Maoh!, Suzaku Kururugi from Code Geass and Haseo from the .hack series.
