Tom Chapin is simply one of the most charming performers in the entire children's music field, and Zag Zig is one of his best. Whether it's the zesty horn charts and witty lyrics of "Vitamin Si," or "The Backwards Birthday Party," or this album's installment of the adventures of Bruno, "Bruno's Christmas On The Mall," it's a singalong fun-fest. Topping it off is Chapin's tale of a youngster looking for a way to be a music hero. "Johnny Glockenspiel" is hysterical, danceable, and totally irresistible. ~ Ross Boissoneau, All Music Guide
