| Computer Desktop Encyclopedia: zebra strip |
A packaging device that allows quick alignment of electronic devices on a printed circuit board. It is a small rubber strip with carbon bands running around it. It allows contact to be made from the pads on the board to the pads on the device by whichever bands happen to line up at both points.
