The Zestar is an apple cultivar that was released in 1998; it was bred to be sold as an early season apple able to survive in colder climates like Minnesota.[1][2] (Malus, x domestica 'Zestar!')[3]
This apple is protected under the US Plant Patent Act #97120.[4]
