Zoltan Solymosi

Solymosi, Zoltan (b Budapest, 1967). He studied at Budapest Ballet Academy and in 1986 joined Dutch National Ballet as a principal, moving to Munich State Opera in 1989 and La Scala, Milan, in 1990. From 1989 he was also permanent guest artist with Hungarian State Ballet. In 1992 he joined the Royal Ballet where he danced all the standard classic roles as well as creating roles in Matthew Hart's 1993 Fanfare. In 1995 he left to join English National Ballet and subsequently London City Ballet, leaving in 1996 to return to Hungary.
