Zootaxa is an international journal for animal taxonomists. It is published in English by Magnolia Press in Auckland, New Zealand. The journal was founded by Z.-Q. Zhang in 2001.
It gained international notice when it published a paper announcing the discovery of the Cypriot Mouse in October of 2006.[1]
