Its editors included Harriet Beecher Stowe, Mary Mapes Dodge, Edward Eggleston, and George Cary Eggleston. It serialized Edward Eggleston's The Hoosier Schoolmaster from 1870 to 1871, and its contributors included Rebecca Harding Davis and Louisa May Alcott. It ceased publication in 1875. |
