It is better for you to divorce a bad woman and have split custody than being unhappy and putting you and your kids in danger. Your kids will be sad but you need to do it. if she is a really bad woman you shouldn't split the custody if you think she will hurt your kids.

Why divorce should not be allowed?
If you believe, as many do that marriage is a social convenience created by man then you can do with it whatever you wish, or not even have it at all if you wish. If you believe that marriage is the creation of almighty God 'in the beginning' for the good of mankind as a whole, then divorce is not going to be the way to go and will prove to be detrimental to mankind as a whole. These two opposing theories can be tested over time by seeing what happens to individual persons, as well as to societies when marriage is disregarded or undermined by divorce. If the Bible version is true, then there would be deterioration in society. If the first view is correct then we would expect to find society getting either better (for removal of the unnecessary constraint and 'burden' of marriage) or at least not suffering for it. The evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of the necessity and vital importance of marriage for a healthy society. Even the ancients recognized this. A study has been done and found that where marriage was devalued, throughout human history, society suffered and ultimately, the relevant civilization crumbled and fell. The data of history is thus 'in' and no reference whatsoever to the Bible is needed to show this to be so. Even among Christians there are two schools of thought on this issue. Put very simply, those who would follow Moses allow divorce. Those who would follow Jesus, who used the original design of God in creation as His basis, allow no divorce. Since Jesus is Himself the creator, as indicated in John 1 and elsewhere, it would seem He knows what is best for His people. God's view on divorce is clear in scripture, Moses allowance die to 'hardness of heart' is not meant to apply today to Christian believers and many would argue, is it good for society as a whole, since God, as the maker of man knows what is best for man (as in mankind and society). In relation to Christian believers, at least, since they are a 'new creation in Christ', Jesus' teaching and not Moses' is their pattern. Even in the case of 'the marriage from hell', the solution temporarily may be separation, as is discussed in the context of believers being married to unbelievers in the New Testament, and this may particularly apply in the case of personal safety as well as that of children. However, the ultimate solution to this is not to throw out marriage as a whole, nor to encourage divorce but to consider seriously the cause of the problem, which is in some case almost entirely one-sided but usually both have some 'work to do'.
