0.58 as a fraction is equivalient to 58/100 Because 0.58, also known as fifty-eight hundredths, is a part of 1, about one sixth, and in order to tranform it into a whole number you have to move the decimal two times to the right, other wise saying multiplying it by 10x10 which is one hundred, and that's why the fraction is fifty-eight out of one hundred.
