4.5 8 cylinder grown up version of the aluminum HT 4100. Problem plagued cylnder heads and gaskets. Low power, especially move a loaded stretch limo. The only positive feature was a flat floor in the passenger compartment. NOTE- In 1986, Cadillac did notproduce a FWD limo- any around were custom stretched.

try checking to see if the motor is working . If the motor runs then you have to replace the wiper arms check with your service manual for proper removal and replacement. i would first check the fuse. then the motor and finally the linkage(arms)
fleetwood 94 /96 5.7 liter igniton coil location standing in front of car with hood up, on right side of motor . look for short spark plug wire. a black small looking coil with alittle sensor behind it. i changed mine on my 1994 fleetwood . look for short 2,3 inch plug wire. in that area front of motor where valve cover is .

The 5.7 in your Cadillac is a Chevrolet LT1. The same motor that came in an Impala SS and Buick Roadmaster. It uses an "OPTI SPARK" distributor that runs off the front of the motor. There is no timing adjustment that can be made with the unit. The engine management computer controls the timing and adjusts the spark as ou drive. If you are having timing problems, the OPTI SPARK needs to be replaced.
It goes in the power steering located on the drivers side, in the front of the motor. There is a black screw cap on the power steering pump and a dipstick inside.
