No. 1986 was the third generation C/K series, which ran from 1973 to 1987. A 1994 pickup is a fourth generation model on the GMT400 platform... the fourth gen pickups were 1988 to 1998.
Under the power steering pump in front of the engine. It is not an easy one to change.
Needing more info for a complete answerChevy didnt build a Tahoe in 1986. If you are refering to the full size Blazer K5 or K10, the carb would likely be a Rochester Quadrajet with computer feedback/emissions solenoids. it really doesn't matter what vehicle the carb is on the correct air fuel mixture is 14:1. 14parts air to 1part fuel. also Chevy built a s-10 with a Tahoe package in 86
battery? starter? voltage drop between the two? Do you have gas? Check for spark.
Left side on front of motor. Follow the battery cable and it will lead you right to it.
It is mounted on the top of the starter. Just follow the positive cable from the battery and it will be bolted to the selonoid.
I think catalytic conveters were mandatory sometime before 1980, in the 1970's, but I am not certain. I know that cars had them starting in the 70's. I checked at Wikipedia, and it seems an '86 Chevy truck would have one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalytic_converter

No.
Clean the cables and bolts of all corrosion and tighten them so that the cables will not move. This will insure a good connection.jd
