I have a 1987 brougham I just had the fuel pump replaced and since then my heater is not switching to defroster and very little heat on the feet. Could the mechanic possibly not reconnected something?
It is called the control head. If you have vent problems check first under the hood for any loose or broken vacumn lines. The heater lines are usually rather small in diameter.

It sounds like you have major electrical problems, or have bad fuses. Take it to the mechanic and find out how much it would cost to fix that.It should be simple.

It just involves removing the air cleaner, distributor cap, and distributor hold down bolt (pretty sure is a 9/16. Also, are you sure you want to change the distributor? Did it fail, my 89 Caprice Brougham's distributor is fine. If you are getting bad ignition it is probably not the distributor. Check for cracks.
