The first place I would look would be the crankshaft position sensor
1991 jaguar jx6 will not start
It is the ECC relay! It is the ECC relay!
There are several reasons why a 1996 Achieva engine cranks but will not fire. A few of the reasons could be a bad ignition control module, ignition coil pack, or a crankshaft position sensor.
timing belt broke?
Faulty plug wires or bad coil or coil wire.
depending on what type of fuel delivery, check fuel injectors or tbi
You might try a crankshaft position sensor first. Its probably cheaper than an ignition module.
Not starting may means no fuel is reaching. And if fuel is reaching and it is not starting, than there is no spark to "fire" the mixture, which means bad coil. well it will be your coil pack that is a wasted spark model 1 coil fires 2 cylinders at a time notr one
Fuel injectors may be leaking causing a flooding problem?
This is definitely the problem: The coil is bad OR The module is bad. DO THIS: change one of the good coils with the bad, If 1 and 4 fire and the other two don't, Its the coil,,,,,,,,,, If they still don't fire, Its the module
the main theme is the procedure on how the jaguar lost its fire
