I just changed the oil and filter on my 97, 2.0 liter engine, jetta. I put in 4 quarts and wasn't sure of the capacity either. I then started the car, let it run for a couple of minutes, shut off the engine, waited 5 minutes, then checked the oil dip stick, It came to the cross-hatched area on the dip stick, so I was satisfied. You don't want to over fill but since I had emptied the oil from the oil pan and the old oil filter, I was pretty sure 4 quarts wouldn't be too much.
The Volkswagen Jetta was produced from the years 1979 to present and the oil capacity for a 2009 Jetta 2.5 is six quarts. The type of oil that a 2009 Jetta 2.5 will take is 5W-40 or 5W-30.
The 2001 VW Jetta 1.8 liter engine has and oil capacity of for quarts. The engine oil should never be overfilled.
I guess it has a total oil capacity is 4.5 qts
4.25 qts
6.3 quarts
4 litres of oil, if oil filter is changed.
3.75 qts
4.2 quarts of 5W-50
6.3 quarts
if the jetta is the 1.8 gl engine then it will require 5 litres of 10w/40 semi synthetic engine oil.
4L with filter change
It will hold 4 quarts.
