Depend on what year cadillac you are talking about, and what model.
Your 1991 Cadillac Deville has 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
hd brakes will last longer and stop a lot eaiser
You should check out the Cadillac Deville suspension conversion kits at strutmasters.com If you can do brakes you can install their conversion kits yourself. http://www.strutmasters.com/cadillac-deville-suspension-s/42.htm
It has both Rotors and Pads. In other words disc brakes
You have a hole in your brake line.
did the parking brake get set, or the shoes adjusted too tight?
bad master cylinder calipers rubber caliper hose and if you have raer drum brakes and the rears are locking the brake shoe are wet from the wheel cyls and you are in grave danger
You will need the tool to retract the calipers. The piston in the rear calipers have to be turned clockwise as you compress them back in.
Parking brake (also known as emergency brake) foot pedal expands the rear brake shoes against the brake drum holding or stopping the vehicle in an emergency situation not as effective as regular service brakes
take the caliper off. use a wrenchor a special tool to twist.twist the caliper till it goes in,install pads, attach wheel then leave enine off till you pump the brakes hard then turn engine on
I need a daigram of the rear brakes being changed
