What causes a 1998 Pontiac transport to run hot and engine shuts off
When my 1994 Pontiac Transport is in park and idling the the speedometer runs erratically? Why?
Pontiac 2400yes but wiring harness may need to be changed.
The horn on a Pontiac Transport is located in the engine compartment on the passenger side of the vehicle. It should be right behind the passenger side front headlight.
The ECM on a 1998 Pontiac Transport with the 3.4 V6 engine is located on the passenger side. It is behind the glove box.
The heater blower motor in a 1995 Pontiac Transport is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. It is on the firewall near the hood hinge.
I do not believe so; I never heard of one.
The firing order for the 1997 Pontiac Transport is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. This is for the 3.4 Liter engine.
Oil pressure sender /fuel pump switch for 1995 Pontiac transport 3.1 is located between oil filter and starter at front of engine.
It is possible for the check engine light to come on in a Pontiac Transport when using ethanol gasoline because it burns hotter than other gasoline. The check engine light might also come on if the oxygen sensor is bad.
Bottom front of motor between the radiator and engine block
if the vin codes match then they should but i'd look at the wiring diagrams to be sure...
The 1998 Pontiac Transport evaporator drain hose can be found on the bottom of the air conditioner compressor. The evaporator drain hose routes water to the bottom of the engine compartment.
It depends on the engine. If it is a 3.3 v6, you will locate it under the 3 ignition coils. Unbolt each coil, 2 screws per coil, and the unit will be free, other than the primary wiring harness. The primary wiring harness is connected by a bolt, through the connector and into the module.
Is it possible to narrow down the circuit? There are quite a few. i have personally worked on a 92 3800se and rebuilt the wiring harness. the best place i could figure to get wire schematics is to bug the guys at the local Pontiac dealers body shop. it took 20 min of hassling but i managed to get print outs of the schematics. the following are the various harnesses. -body wire harness -dash harness i should note that those are the main harnesses. however they are sub classified as everything from power locks/windows, engine compartment harness, instrument harness, ect....
- I just installed a new timing CHAIN on my 1997 Pontiac Transport that has a 3400 engine in it. If you get the kit at autozone that comes with the gears and new gaskets it only cost me $ 45.00.
The 1993 Pontiac Transport windshield wiper control module is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The windshield wiper control module will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
Hi,I asked the same question for my 3.8 liters Pontiac Transport 1994, and was told at the concessionnary garage that there is no PCV valve to replace on my engine....that answer from the garage manager and parts dept. people.Pacman
In the lower end of the engine, inside the oil pan.
No. The 3.1 is a 60 degree engine and the 3.8 is a 90 degree engine. Everything is shaped very differently. The best you can hope for is that it won't fit. More likely youl damage the flywheel and could crack the transmission.
take the two bolts out of the front engine mounts ant pull the engine forward to replace
its above the serpentine belt on the lefth hand side of the engine
Probably on the lower rear end of engine--try to follow + battery cable
Try the engine end of the upper radiator hose in a removable housing
