Why does the starter motor click instead of turning engine on your 94 Chevy Corsica?

The soleonoid on the starter is bad. When you buy a new starter it comes with the solenoid. Try tapping on the starter with a hammer if it starts after that then this is your problem

Can a car stop running if the starter goes bad?

No, I would seek another answer to the problem. If the starter starts while the car is running, it may grind the bendix or the starter into a toothless nub and the starter will quit functioning alltogether.

When car starts but makes a grinding noise and is not getting gas?

Your 2000 E150 Will not start but if you Jumper the starter solenoid it starts right up with the key in the on position Replaced the solenoid but the problem persists Any suggestions?

The problem is almost definitely your neutral safety switch. When you jump the solenoid you are bypassing it. The problem is your starter is going and needs replacement

You have a 1991 ford e150 van with a 350 and when you first start it up starts fine the 2nd time you start it up befor an hour goes by it wont start you have replaced the battrey and spark pluson it s?

I had the same problem on my 1988 and would have to leave it on. On that motor, there is a heat shield that surrounds the starter and if it is not there, when the motor heats up it will transfer that heat to the starter simulating a bad battery/starter problem. Once it cools down it starts fine. Start looking from there or get a remote starter (like I did) so you can leave it running when you run into somewhere fast. Why does my Ford Explorer only starts on the second attempt?

Your battery could need replaced, your alternator or starter could be going bad. It is best to have a mechanic look at it if this bothers you or it continues.
