try running a fuel injector cleaner... doenst always work, but what it does is burn the carbon out, which can cause that... if not, check your plugs and wires, especially the coil wire.. the one in the middle of the dist. cap. Check it to see if there is any white powder on it.. if so clean it really well. Not a bad idea to change all the wires and plugs and poss. the coil itself... 60 dollars should do it.Answer 2

Try changing your crank position sensor. same thing happend to my Jeep. 01 jeep Cherokee xj. its located on top of the tranny, aligned with the firewall and offset is slightly torwards the driver side. umm... if your looking at the transmission from the front of the engine, it would be at the 1 o'clock position just like a clock. i hope that clears it up.when i had the problem, i changed out my spark plugs, coil pack, pcv valve -dealer only-, and had my injectors flushed. those were the least expensive. the crank position sensor costs about 100. try www.rockauto.com to get the cheapest price. its about $49 there. i couldn't wait for shipping cause my jeep is my only ride. goodluck!!
