there's two things you could check on your truck that causes leaks first check the watercontainer that is located on the passenger side, next check the holes that connects to the radiator. second is the bottom of your radiator check around it for cracks removed the cover to get a better view of the radiator. hope this helps you solve your problem good luck......
needs a new heater core
I have a 1996 Cougar XR7 that was leaking, and it turned out it was the intake manifold. Was leaking in front of the passenger side on the back. New one was 480.00. Dang car has always had a leak somewhere since it was bought new.
from your overflow valve
Its probably the antifreeze in your cooling system. There is a good chance the heater core is leaking. Check the front passenger side floor to see if it is wet.
I hasd a similar problem with a 1990 Camaro. My carpet was wet from a leaking heater core. Smell the carpet where it is wet. Does it smell like antifreeze or is it the color of antifreeze? If so nyou have a bad or leaking heater core. Good Luck
You are experiencing the classic symptom of a leaking heater core. They aren't cheap. Some stop-leak in the radiator might get you through the interim if you need to budget it.
Could be your heater core leaking - stick your fingers under the front edge of the carpet in the right front passenger area and see if its damp (caution : don't lick your fingers afterwards )
Radiator or hose but probably water pump
If the fluid is GREEN in color and you mean near the passenger side front tire it sounds like it could be engine coolant ( usually a 50 / 50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water )
Radiator or hoses. Possible water pump
It is coming from the very front? That would obviously be the radiator. If it's coming from the right side (passenger side) of the engine it could be the waterpump, or simply a hose.My inner voice tells me waterpump.
Could be steering rack Could be transmission seal Could be power steering pump Turns out it was the water pump leaking the newer pink antifreeze that had separated from the water, but gotta tell ya I had not thought of the tranny seal. Thanks a bunch.
