Gosh, this is another question that doesn't quite give us enough information. I'm guessing that even though the car won't start sometimes, that it DOES turn over. In other words, it's not a battery/starter problem? Is your check engine light on, or has it been on recently? This sure sounds like a fuel system problem to me, and I think you're on the right track since you replaced the fuel filter. I wonder if it might be a fuel pump problem?
where is the fuel filter located on a 2003 Pontiac sunfire
You can find the 2005 Pontiac Sunfire air filter the inside of the air filter housing.. The air filter housing will be in the engine compartment.
A 1997 Pontiac Sunfire has an AC Filter located in the cabin. The filter can be found behind the glove compartment and is used replaceable.
Re-calibrate what, exactly?
The 2002 Pontiac sunfire does not have a cabin filter. The air flows freely either in fresh air or recirculation modes.
next to the tank
it at the back of your gas tank
There is none. This vehicle does not have a air filter for HVAC ventilation.
Um, which filter? Gotta be more specific.
Near the gas tank. It's an in-line filter.
The fuel filter on a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire is in the rear between the fuel tank and the rear axle. By the way its under the car and easy to change takes about 10 minutes.
Under the car by the fuel tank
I know that on a '96 the fuel filter is an in-line type near the fuel tank. As Pontiac hasn't really altered much on the Sunfire in over ten years, I'd suggest starting there.
The filter is located inside the transmission just inside the bottom pan.
on the firewall side of the engine...passenger side
under the car right beside the gas tank
Perhaps a badly clogged fuel filter?
Try back near the fuel tank. if it is the same as my sunfire it is right behind the gas tank.
The fuel filter, or the air filter? Are you looking for a part number? I'd check with my local parts store.FriPilot
on the 2.4 its to the left of the starter above the oil filter
just behind the right front wheel ( passengers side)
98 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2L is one it fits
