why would my 2003 Jeep larado be overheating if it has antifreeze and the water pump is working?
try this.. If you have the inline-six like my '03, try replacing the thermostat - located in front of the motor, center, top. Casing should be aluminum and possibly have some corrosion. Note the hose coming to it from TOP of the radiator and a sensor attached to it. Part costs from $8 to $16 and should take about 30 mins. to replace.
check the fan motor i had to get a new fan motor mine was not comin on

There is no such thing as a 2002 Cherokee Laredo. The last year for the Cherokee was 2001, and the last year it came with the Laredo trim was 1992. I have a 2003 Cherokee Laredo so this awnser makes no sense at all. Do you have a GRAND Cherokee Laredo? Those are still being made. They are not the same as the Cherokee.

My 1999 Grand Cherokee just started this today. My first thought is that the fan relay is stuck in the "on" position.
Under the front of the passenger side cylinder head.
Open the rear hatch. you will see 2 screws on the side of the taillight. Remove them and pull the taillight out.
