it is a fairly simple swap motor mounts should be the same you can use the same tranny if you like or not mounts are the same
Two for tranny and two for engine.
There are no rear mounts. 2 front mounts and 1 under tranny.
3 engine mounts, 1 transmission mount. 1 on passenger side to frame, 1 attached to cross member by radiator, 1 next to firewall on same crossmember. the tranny mount is on transmission case, attached to frame on driver's side. You can replace the front and back ones without dropping the engine. The tranny and passenger side mounts will support the engine for that. This is true for the 1986-1993 years, not sure on later yrs, but probable. 3 engine mounts, 1 transmission mount. 1 on passenger side to frame, 1 attached to cross member by radiator, 1 next to firewall on same crossmember. the tranny mount is on transmission case, attached to frame on driver's side. they are between the engine and body, and the tranny and frame underneath, LOOK, passenger side top, tranny top, underneath on cross frame on front and rear of tranny., 17mm, 14mm. easy.
no problem, you may have to change the motor mounts but its the same transmission...
remove bolts that connect tranny and driveshaft, two bolts at the bottom of the engine mounts, remove the wire harness and pull motor and tranny together, ive pulled mine rebuilt it and put it back in in a weekend.
When you say jump, do you mean like thump or move or just shift hard or slam......... If it's been driven hard you may want to look at the tranny mounts or engine mounts. Ths will cause movement of the tranny when the torque is supplied and it may be hitting the frame if the mount is deteriorated
yes, lots of work...new engine mounts, tranny mounts, exhaust routing, axleshaft conversion, ECM routing. it has been done for lots of ca$h!
you wont like this answer there are 3 mounts. 2 in rear of transaxle and 1 in the nose. the rear 2, hold the engine up too. you must remove the engine to change those two. to get the single front mount off the tranny, you must pull engine then tranny.
I would suggest using Google to find this answer. but a quick summary would be: disconnect battery remove all wiring connected to engine drain engine oild drain radiator fluid drain tranny oil ( if comming off as a separate peice) remove intake remove all house connected to engine Unbolt all the engine mounts and tranny mounts using an engine lifter, hoist the engine out of the engine bay repeat the steps backwards to install engine don't forget to replace all the engine fluids that were drained!
