I dont know what codes you were getting. double check the connections. And get the code cleared. retry it. If it still comes on reread the code to see what it says. You didnt get anything on tips of the o2 sensor did you? Another thing the rear one refers to the one after the Cat converter. Is that the one that was replaced? People sometimes forget this. If there is still a probplem the circuit has a prblem. The code would be saying this though. Hope this helps.
The vehicles computer relies on the information from the 02 sensors and other sensors to adjust the engine for peak performance.
the two sensors on a transmission communicate with the computer to the engine and tells the transmission when to shift up or down....
Your car has a number of places where leads attach to sensors. Those sensors go to a computer. When one of those sensors goes bad or gives a bad reading, the check engine light appears. It means something is wrong somewhere with your car. They can attach a computer to your car's computer and find out where.
not at all
it controls sensors that tell engine how much fuel air and electrical to make engine run smooth , by telling computer whats going on . computer adjusts all three
On newer fuel injected vehicles you will usually need a new wiring harness and engine computer to match the engine you are putting in. You will also need various sensors for the new engine such as mass airflow sensors and intake air temperature sensors.
They are not controlled, but the engine computer reads their out put signals.
It is not so much how it affects the sensors themselves, but how much it affects the engine management computer (ECM). The sensors will notice the change in the exhaust gasses and the computer will try to compensate for the change. This often results in poor running, reliability issues, and poor gas mileage. There are however, o2 sensor simulators available aftermarket, though I have no experience with them.
In modern vehicles, there are sensors which will prevent the engine from coming on when it is overheated. This is a protection measure.
If the check engine light it on a 2002 Hyundai Accent on one of the sensors is malfunctioning. The computer is acknowledging this and alerting the driver that there is a problem in the engine.
no just the precat as the latter does not really change or affect how the engine runs
If you are installing the engine in an exact model that the engine is coming out of, the harness should not be needed. If there are any changes in model, sensors or anything else then the harnesses will not be interchangeable.
