That is indicating a malfunction - could be just a sensor
On top of motor below the throttle right next to radiator hose that's going into the thermostat.....
My 98 Ford Explorer eddie bauer edition as started to make this whining noise when im accelerating.. it stops when i take my foot off the gas...what is going on?
I just finished a project for Eddie Bauer filming sponsored athletes in Argentina. The briefing I received was that they filed for bankruptcy the were purchased by a private equity firm. Currently they are re-structuring.
how do i know the fuel pump is going bad in a 1998 ford expedition eddie bauer?
If it is a whining noise it is the fuel pump.
Not all Explorer engines had an EGR valve. If you have a 4.0, and it has an EGR, look on the driver's side of the engine, mounted to the upper intake manifold. It will be an aluminum colored metal or black plastic sensor, with one electrical connector and two hoses going to it. If you have a 5.0, it will be at the rear of the engine, mounted on the back of the throttle body.
That's the check fuel cap warning symbol
Well your 4WD might be going out, it probably wouldn't hurt to get it checked out.
On a friend's 2004 Eddie Bauer, if the turn signal is on "too long" she starts hearing a beeping noise.. I can't find anything in the owner's manual mentioning that ! ( It happens when she is merging onto the highway so the speed is up )
Bad fuel filter? Weak fuel pump? Dirty air cleaner? Timing chain sloppy?
Take the seat of the truck. Make sure there are no foreign objects jamming up the seat.Lube the seat rails. It could also be the motor that is weak/ or going bad.
This is a common problem. A firmware (software) update is available from Ford to help correct this problem with the mirrors on the 2003 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer going out of limit, clicking, and not returning to the previous set position after the reverse assist. You can also disable the reverse assist from the computer dash board control.
